First of all, you must know that the Lilou Wheels team is a team of cycling and hiking enthusiasts, and when we are not busy guiding you, advising you or repairing your bikes, we also take advantage of our bikes and our beautiful country to go hiking.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we invite you to join us on our next outings in electric mountain bike with different levels of difficulty that will characterize each of the 4 outputs of this program.

The conditions for joining us are extremely simple. It is enough to own a VTTAE (or to rent one), a helmet obligatorily, and to be autonomous in case of breakdown, puncture, refueling, and possibly know how to join your point of departure if you wish to shorten the circuit. It is important to know how to do a minimum of mountain biking according to the output you choose, and to want to share a moment with other MTB with Electric assistance.

It’s totally free and voluntary on our part, there is no notion of coaching, competition, just the desire to share a simple moment on our smiles machines by browsing the most beautiful places of our region and the want to make new encounters between practitioners.

We may be led to limit the number of participants for certain hikes if there were to be crowds, or cancel some in case of bad weather or force majeure.

In case you wish to participate in one of these hikes but you do not have a bike, or you have one, but not your friend, we can rent you a bike on site, there is only to book it and present you at the starting point, we will be with it, and if you rent it from one of our colleagues you are also welcome …

1st green level hike (accessible to all mountain bikers)

We will start this series of hikes by an easy circuit in the heart of the Landes forest in the fantastic single track trails of the mountain bike club Labenne between Ondres, Labenne and Capbreton. The meeting point will be at the level of Labenne college, the departure will be at 9am for a circuit of 25-30 kilometers for a duration of 3 hours of hiking. This circuit is ideal for training to pass at the level of the higher outputs. These single tracks are mostly like slides winding among pines with short climbs, ditches to cross, descents with a minimum of technique, ideal for learning to handle his bike and a real treat over the miles traveled.

2nd hike blue level (we start the technical passages)

For this second appointment, we will explore the paths of Ibardin on the slopes of the mountain Mandalé. The meeting point will be at the chapel of Olhette still at 9:00. Depending on the weather, the ground may be muddy, so plan to get dirty with what to change on arrival. The circuit will be shared between single tracks and wide tracks. We will have the first slightly technical passages and nice descents with good inclines of slope or the quality of the brakes will be de rigueur. At the landscape level, it is an exceptionally beautiful exit offering a mix of landscapes between ocean and mountain, on one side all the sight on the Atlantic coast, and on the other side all the sight on the Basque mountains with La Rhune in focus. The circuit lasts approximately 3 hours for twenty kilometers, the Ibardin pass road is never far, it is perfectly possible to shorten the circuit down the road to the pass if you wanted to shorten the exit.

3 rd hike red level (A major mountain bike outing, a little technical and long)

This third hike will take us to the heights of Gorospil with beautiful views of Mondarin, Artzamendi and all the Basque coast. It’s a 30 km loop where we will link monotrace paths on the mountainside and wide tracks. The length of the single tracks and the landscapes it offers mix the pleasures of driving, where he knows how to be precise, and the pleasure of the eyes is so beautiful. Do not underestimate its physical form, we leave for 30 km and 1000m of altitude difference. If you are not used to mountain biking, the last descent will be felt throughout the body, arms, shoulders, back and legs. Participating in the first two outings will be a guarantee of success if you hesitate to test yourself on this type of release. The circuit starts from Urdax, begins with a long technical climb in the woods with several crossings of brook, the landscape opens and is revealed at the neck of the 3 crosses above Ainoha. There is a choice of two routes to get around Mount Errebi, either a technical single-sided south flank, or the north flank track to go up to the foot of Mondarin and follow the beautiful GR10 to Gorospil pass. It follows a long panoramic trail to the Otxondo Pass, where we expect a descent more or less very technical depending on the options.

On arrival, the aperitif tapas option is more than possible in this beautiful village of Urdax on the Spanish Basque coast.

4th Black Level Trek (reserved for confirmed mountain bikers)

This is the cream of the crop in enduro mountain bike outing, we climb to the top of La Rhune by technical and difficult roads, and we come down technical roads, stony, and extremely players. 22km for 1100m vertical drop.

With this initiative of 4 hikes of various levels, we propose you to live an authentic experience in Electric Mountain Bike in the Basque Country and the southern moors. We hope to be able to share the values ​​that have animated us for so many years in this area, but we will also try to communicate on the respect of the best practices of this sport in our region.
